Just downloaded the Kindle app for MacBook Pro (free!) after double-checking to make sure that, yes, you can download books from Amazon directly to your Mac. So, for the moment, no need to drop $150 on a Kindle (though I’m sure I probably will eventually). If anything, it’ll be a good test run to see if I can actually make the transition from old-school books to reading a book online. Tips for a new user of e-books welcome.
